Lee Lab
Our Core Values
Science is challenging, but there is no reason for people to make it harder.
The Lee lab is driven by curiosity, hard work, and a commitment to rigorous, reproducible science.
We ask bold questions, think critically, and preserve through challenges. We work hard, but we also recognize the importance of taking breaks to recharge, stay creative, and return to scientific challenges with fresh perspectives.
At the same time, we believe that scientific excellence requires more than hard work. The best scientists are open-minded. They welcome new ideas, challenge their own assumptions, embrace constructive feedback, and never stop learning. We value intellectual humility just as much as intellectual curiosity.
Above all, we strive to build a laboratory where people treat one another with kindness, honesty, and respect. We celebrate each other's successes, support one another through setbacks, and recognize that great science is a team effort.
